what. is. up.

i wish i was seeing minority report tonight, but instead i'm seeing it tomorrow with niko, because she wants to save money and miss the crowd.. it's alright, i can hopefully watch ali tonight with dad and jord.. an. hey now

where are all the interesting things i had to talk about?

have you guys seen zebrahead? it's a really good movie i saw for the first time today (and heard about for the first time earlier today) about youth and race relations and poverty and love and ignorance and education and all of this lovely stuff. michael rappaport stars. he's the guy who played the cop on Friends that phoebe dates for a while in like season 3... or 4. how has that show gotten so silly? i can't help but watch the old ones every weeknight because they're so good. but it's not the coolest thing in the world to like friends as much as i do. but i do anyway. and don't talk about it, like dawson's creek. but my brother revealed to me some wisdom: i'm hooked on dawson's creek like all the 16 yr old girls, not because i'm like a 16 yr old girl, but because *I* got hooked on it when i was a 16 yr old girl. when pacey's affair with mrs. teacher was all the rage. mhm. zebrahead was brought up in the rave section as an answer a girl made to the question "what movie most accurately depicts young people?" and it does. i thought of my answers.. you think of like suburbia and all that.. but that's not very real. i like to think traffic was real that way.. kids today are sometimes too smart for their own good. they're overly smart so they make stupid decisions. they've got the right idea but they go about it the wrong way. then i thought of the graduate. and someone saying "kids are like that?" and me saying "well i'm like that" and them saying "you run around having torrid affairs with older women then falling in love with their daughters?" and me saying "yeah".

i bought three great movies the other day: bridget jones' diary, one of the funniest movies of all time, please please see it, or come over and watch it with me; the way of the gun, you can't touch benicio, he's just too hot; and wonder boys, what a freakishly wonderful movie, come over and watch that with me too..tobey maguire, katie holmes, robert downey jr (hilarious man), michael douglas..how feel-good-yet-dark do you get? you feel SO GOOD after that movie. what a great movie. i'd forgotten. come over quick and see it.

next week at the box office is a big bunch a nothin..then mib 2, then Road To Perdition..jude..mhm..sam mendes, good, and 13 conversations about one thing.. then a big bunch a nothing, then the emporer's new clothes, then the week to end all weeks: signs and the new soderbergh Full Frontal, rightly mysterious.. hurray.. let the summer movie chaos begin.
