alright, i'm saying goodbye to life altogether and just diving in the pool! of queer as folk fanfiction because it makes me grin so big my face hurts and my chest tightens with that "oh this is happiness but i can't share it with these family members around me because there's so much sucking and fucking" feeling and i've found a kindred spirit now, "mojokitten", who completely validates my new life. she's around my age and she's british and she writes the stuff with mad talent. she is much worse than me AND still completely cool and smart and hip and hilarious. so. it must not kill you or make you weaker because obviously she is stronger than i'll ever be. (please excuse, it is 3:30 in the morning.) and jenn you must jump on this wagon with me because you haven't LIVED until you do.. there is no knowing these characters until you read fans' interpretations of them, seriously, i feel like i've seen double the episodes that you've seen, you must come and discover. i first found mojokitten because i was delirious over some other chick's fic (Omelet - a glorious angst-filled epic drama about brian and justin coping with justin maybe having HIV, this and so many others can be found at my sex link to the left) and i emailed her to praise her and asked her who she liked to read and she delivered this bundle of british goodness via a michael fic which was so sweet, you'd love it, go here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/mojokitten/14455.html. and then ooo, my new addiction i'm sure, something called RPS (there are so many crazy fanfic terms to learn, it's really creepy and cult like and you sometimes think you're playing dungeons and dragons or something very nerdy like that but hey the payoff is too good to refuse) which i can only imagine stands for real people stories, i dunno, because this one was about gale and randy. ! that's right! so i've completely thrown out my previous negative interpretation of gale harold and now believe he and randy to have this secret wonderfully sexual little thing together because they're both kind of outside the box type people trying to deal with this silly fame that doesn't suit them.. oh lawd.. but you can't read that yet because it has a season 4 spoiler that you can not know. not yet. so i will now direct you to something that made me laugh so hard for so long i had to share it.. you kind of need to look around at her posts and get her sense of humor before fully appreciating this maybe, but she's talking to her friend about "shipping" different qaf characters.. shipping must be an abbreviation for relationship because that's what it is, fic relating to two specific characters who don't have this type of relationship on the show having it in this fic.. so she's talking about her crazy shipping ideas and then she delivers and it's utterly absurd and wonderful.. go here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/mojokitten/10230.html
