notice how the west wing didn't win the emmy for the fifth year in a row.. could that be because tommy schlamme left and now it's turning to crap? yes it could. tsk tsk. oh but HURRAY for angels in america - how did i completely forget to talk about that here, it damn near changed my life, it was that good. frank you really need to go rent it now, it's out, available, two discs, and it is nothing short of glorious. stunning. awe-inspiring. cried like a little baby. it got my creative juices flowing and i completely revamped my story idea for class to be mostly dialogue driven because that's all that really matters, great dialogue. angels in america has truly great dialogue. i honestly didn't know plays could get like that. what a great feeling. jeffrey wright was so great and i love love love justin kirk and of course meryl streep and al pacino.. the more i see meryl speaking in real life the more i like her, she's a whimsical silly fluttery person who i would love to have as a mother. so bravo mike nichols, and brava tony kushner.
